Seat Mechanic-Part Time - American Airlines Center (Dallas, TX)
Job Title: PT- Seat Mechanic

PART TIME
Summary:
Performs preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, reactive maintenance, minor repairs, and modifications to facility equipment, including seating, painting and carpentry projects at the facility to ensure continued proper operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following, other duties may be assigned.
Assists other trade personnel in making repairs, renovations, and modifications to equipment and facilities at the facility including seats and all suites;
Operates facility golf carts as required;
Performs minor repairs on facility equipment following prescribed and generally accepted practices, policies and procedures;
Adheres to and provides recommendations to supervisors regarding operating policy, procedures, practices, and safety standards at the facility.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee should also have the following qualifications:
Experience/Education:
High school diploma or GED required;
One year of basic mechanic experience;
Must have basic mechanic and power tools experience;

Other Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of tools and equipment necessary to perform repairs on fixed seating,
Knowledge of principles, practices and techniques of the of the maintenance trade;
Knowledge of up-to-date principles, practices and techniques of the maintenance practices;
Knowledge of basic carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems installation;
Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance practices;
Ability to properly complete multitask job assignments in allocated time frames with minimal supervision;
Physical Demands:
Ability to reach with hands and arms use hands to handle, or feel, stand, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, walk and sit;
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while twisting and/or turning working at heights and frequent climbing of stairs and ladders;
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Able to work at heights above 50 feet and in confined spaces.
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, the noise level may be loud;
Position is required to work in exposed wet and/or humid conditions;
Position is required to work near moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat and risk of electrical shock;
Employees must be able to work on evenings, weekends, holidays and all shifts as required.
